Birds of Belize - Night Shots
I'm going to intersperse blog posts of photos of Belizean birds with the trip narration, presenting the birds in thematic clusters.
Seeing the White-eyed vireo on a night walk around Lamanai lodge was very cool ... as were these beauties we saw on a "spotlight" boat outing around the lagoon:
American pygmy kingfisher
Green Heron
Common Pauraque, a type of Nightjar - it's that brownish blur on top of the rock
A pair of roosting Mangrove swallows
Russet-naped wood-rails
Beautiful
ReplyDeletei loved those wood rails! WOW!
